This document will provide you with some general ight and baggage information, and the transfer services available
in Bergen and Kirkenes. For transfers in Trondheim, Tromsø, and Oslo, please contact your booking agent.
If you have booked our arrival and/or departure package, most transfers are included. If transfers for your cruise in
Norway are already included in your travel arrangements, please present the transfer voucher that was enclosed with
your travel documents to the bus driver. Hurtigruten transfer buses are marked with a ‘Hurtigruten Transfer Service’
sign. For further information, please refer to your booking conrmation.
If your booking doesn’t include any transfers, you are still able to book some of the transfers, as outlined below.
Transfers outside of our scheduled transfers must be arranged independently and at your expense.

Flights
CHECKIN
We recommend arriving at the airport for check-in at least 2–2.5 hrs
before departure. Internet and/or self-service kiosk check-in may
be available, depending on which airline you are traveling with.
Please log in to the airline’s website using the ight reference num-
ber on your booking conrmation to access ight information; see
ight updates; request special services such as meals, wheelchairs,
or seat reservations; and to check-in online (if possible).
Your ight tickets are electronic; no additional documents will be
sent to you. Please note that some codeshare ights are operated by
a dierent carrier than the one shown on your itinerary.
Please keep the baggage tag issued at check-in until after you have
collected your baggage.
IF YOU HAVE A CONNECTING FLIGHT
TO ANOTHER DESTINATION IN NORWAY
If you have a ight to Norway with a connecting ight to another
destination in Norway, you can take your carry-on bag directly to
the gate listed on your boarding pass. Due to possible gate changes,
please double-check your gate number and departure time at the
transfer desk, and check announcements and the arrival/depar-
ture board at the airport.
Your checked baggage will be checked through to your nal desti-
nation.
NOTE: If you are holding separate tickets with dierent airlines,
it is usually not possible to check baggage through. Check-in sta
will advise you whether your baggage will be checked through or
not.
CHECKED BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE INFORMATION
Per the baggage allowances shown in the tables to the right, any
excess baggage must be paid upon check in. You may be able to pre-
pay via the airline’s web site; this may be cheaper than paying at the
airport.)
NOTE: Any single piece of luggage weighing over 32 kgs/70.5 lbs
will not be accepted for carriage.

The latest arrival time is 30 minutes before ship departure. The
safety brieng will be conducted on board while the ship is in port.
In the terminal there is a seating area, a vending machine with bev-
erages, and 25 lockers for guests to use. The baggage lockers are not
operated by Hurtigruten and there is no change machine in the ter-
minal. Cost: 30.00 NOK (3 x 10 NOK coins).
TRANSFER FROM THE AIRPORT
TO THE HURTIGRUTEN TERMINAL HOTEL
When leaving the airport, follow the signs for the Hurtigruten
transfer buses and go to bus stand No. A4, which is located in front
of the arrivals hall. Transfers will take approximately 30–45 mins.

airport next to the domestic ights’ exit.
*On May 17th (Norway’s National Day), transfers will be only pro-
vided from 3 p.m.

TRANSFER FROM THE HURTIGRUTEN TERMINAL
TO THE HOTEL RAILWAY STATION AIRPORT
Please take your baggage and follow the signs that guide you out
of the terminal. The bus will be marked with your next destination
(hotel/railway station/airport).
You can also purchase a transfer from the travel guide on board
your Hurtigruten ship.
Between November 1 and March 31, transfers are only available to
customers who have pre-booked them prior to commencing their
tour, as the buses only operate when booked in advance.
TRANSFER FROM THE RAILWAY STATION
TO THE HURTIGRUTEN TERMINAL HOTEL
As you disembark the train, exit the railway station under the
archway to your right. The Hurtigruten Transfer Service Bus will
be waiting outside. (Ensure that you are at the Hurtigruten Travel
Bus area, not the central bus station).

PLATINUMFARE GUESTS’ PRIVATE AIRPORT TRANSFERS IN
BERGEN
This service is exclusive to Platinum-fare guests or guests using
wheelchairs that are traveling on one of Hurtigruten’s coastal
cruises. Private transfers and transfers that include a wheelchair
can only be pre-booked. Please contact your booking agent if you
need transfer service in Trondheim.
TO FROM THE HURTIGRUTEN TERMINAL HOTEL
You’ll be met by an English-speaking driver and transfer with a pri-
vate car/taxi to the Hurtigruten Terminal or your hotel in Bergen,
or vice versa.
FROM BERGEN AIRPORT: Please look for a Hurtigruten sign and
your name in the arrivals hall of the airport. Your driver will take
you to the private car.
FROM HOTELS IN BERGEN: The pick-up time from the hotel will
be always three hours before your ight departure time. The driver
will meet you in the hotel lobby.
FROM THE HURTIGRUTEN PIER: Please look for a Hurtigruten
sign and your name when leaving the ship. Your driver will take you
to the private car.

The transfer bus is the ocial airport bus and departs after each
ight arrival until approximately 8:10 p.m.

Your transfer from Thon Hotel or Scandic Kirkenes Hotel will be
carried out by the ocial airport bus (Flybussen) and the ocial
timetable applies.
Bus departure times are coordinated with the ight departure
times. Please check the bus schedule with hotel reception. Trans-
fers will take approximately 30 mins.

The transfer bus departing from the hotel to the Hurtigruten quay
is operated by Boreal.
