KUBOTA L SERIES (2501, 2800, 3200, 3400, and 3800)
HEATER INSTALLATION (p/n: 9PH20S34)
HEATER INSTALLATION:
A. Install the 20,000 BTU MEGABURNERheater to the heater bracket, using two of the 1/4” bolts on the side of
the heater.
B. The location for the heater unit is on the left unitized side frame.
C. Remove plugs (if equipped) from heater inlet and outlet tubes.
D. Remove plugs in left front leg and install plastic bushings from the heater kit by pushing into the holes from
the inside of the cab.
HEATER PLUMBING:
*** CAUTION *** To avoid injury caused by hot engine cool-
ant, make sure the engine is completely cooled down before
beginning installation of auxiliary heater.
A. Drain the cooling system. For the supply line to the heater,
remove the allen drive plug from the side of the water pump.
Install the supplied 3/8" NPT nipple as shown in fig. A.
B. For the return line from the heater, cut the lower radiator
hose in the location shown in fig. B and install the enclosed T
fitting with large hose clamps provided.
C. Run the supplied heater hose from the T fitting along the side
of the engine compartment and through one of the holes in the
cowl, cut to length and attach to heater and T fitting with small
hose clamps.
D. Per fig D1 and D2, use the remaining hose to run from the 3/8"
NPT nipple, along the top of the engine, behind the muffler,
down to the remaining hole in the left front leg and up to the
heater. Attach with large hose clamps. CAUTION: Make sure
hose does not rub against the exhaust.
E. Splice into the heater supply line (from the nipple) and install
the in-line shut-off valve. NOTE: The in-line shut-off valve
quickly converts the heater into a summer time blower by pre-
venting hot water from flowing to the heater core. Secure the
hoses with large wire ties provided. Refill the cooling system.
Start the tractor and inspect system for leaks.
