Overview
Form I-94 is an arrival/departure record issued by U.S. Customs and Border Protection to
foreign visitors to the United States. In May 2013, CBP automated Form I-94 for air and sea
arrivals. If travelers need a copy of their I-94 record for verication of alien registration,
immigration status, work authorization or any other benet, the I-94 can be obtained and printed
from
www.cbp.gov/I94
. The I-94 record obtained from the website serves the same purpose as
the previously issued I-94 record and should be treated by the Department of Homeland Security
components and other stakeholders in the same manner.
I-94 Expiration Dates
The electronic I-94 has three dates printed on the form. The rst date in the top right-hand
corner is the Ofce of Management and Budget (OMB) form expiration date. All government
forms include OMB dates. The OMB validity date changes periodically and an expired OMB
date does not invalidate the I-94 record or form. OMB dates are not related to a non-immigrant’s
status in the U.S. The most recent date of entry indicates the date a traveler entered the U.S.
The ‘Admit Until Date’ is the date that the traveler’s immigration status expires in the U.S. The
Admit Until Date’ should be used for U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) or
public benets from other government agencies.
