Panthers
Tour West Africa
One of the bonuses for Kentucky
Wesleyan winning the 1966
N C A A D i v i s i o n I I N a t i o n a l
Championship was a 45-day all
expense paid trip to West Africa
during the summer. The
Panthers became the first small
college champion to represent
the United States in the annual
goodwill tours sponsored by the
United States State Department.
The Panthers played exhibition
games and gave demonstrations
at clinics on their five West
African nation tours.
Panthers
Tour Europe
On August, 1985, the Panthers
embarked on a twelve day tour of
England and France. Kentucky
Wesleyan played six exhibition
games against the best
professional teams in England.
The all expense paid tour marked
the second time Kentucky
Wesleyan basketball traveled
internationally.
