Text-to-Speech Access and Use in Galileo

Please follow the screen captures and explanations to access and use text-to-speech for Galileo

Benchmarks

1) Select “Schedule Test” on your Galileo dashboard

2) Once you navigate to the next screen, select the appropriate Class, Library, Test, and Instructor

of Record. Test libraries are organized by grade level. The libraries are entitled “2019-20

Ferguson-Florissant [grade level] Benchmark Library”.

3) Navigate to the bottom of the page to the “Text-to-Speech” options.

4) Select “Selected Students” to turn on text-to-speech by student. Move students into the “Selected

Students” window for whom you would like text-to-speech to be available.

5) [Optional] Click “preview test with text-to-speech” to view what students will see when they take

the test.

NOTE: Text-to-speech will NOT FUNCTION unless the student clicks on the speaker icon above.

Once they click the icon, they will be given options for the manner in which they would like the

text-to-speech to function.
